On the topic of B&B: (by Doctor Odd)
The thing that most trek fans loath to hear is the names of B&B, who are feared throughout the trek universe for- uh, beats me!
Rick Berman and Brannon Braga have been the top dogs of star trek ever since Gene Roddenberry went to his great reward. Everyone hates them. But what I can't figure out is: why? Well, you say, they have made episodes like 'Threshold' and 'Bounty' and 'A Night in Sickbay'. So what? Even if those are some of the worst treks ever, they've also made 'Twilight', 'The Breach', 'Cogenitor', 'Similitude', 'Anomaly', 'Dead Stop', 'Dear Doctor', 'The Catwalk' and I could go on and on. Yes, they did make the worst episode, but they also made some of the best. Not that 'The Catwalk' is on the top ten star trek's so far, but it was entertainment! If they hadn't been there we would never have had the dominion wars, the ENTIRE Voyager and Enterprise series. We would not have had 'First Contact' either. First Contact is said to be the best trek movie. Oh, you say, but his continuity sucks! Au contraire, mon ami. Sure, Regeneration and Acquisition weren't Trek's finest moments in continuity, but, they also made Enterprise. Enterprise has more continuity between two episodes than all of the original series! TNG changed much of the information that was laid down by TOS, but NO. TNG can't possibly have bad continuity, can it? Check the nitpickers guide to next generation trekkers for more info. Anyway, leve B&B alone, ore star trek could be over! Now, which do you want?
